I am a 30-something wife and mother-of-one (very rambunctious toddler), living the suburban dream in the outer banks of that thriving metropolis of northern Alberta, Edmonton. I immigrated to Canada 17 years ago, with two wonderful parents, three suitcases, and not much else (unless you count ambition).
Since then, I’ve accumulated a couple of degrees, a house, a car, and most of the other trappings of capitalist success, minus the debt. I love designer bags, collecting books, and balancing my budget – and if that makes me sound highly improbable, please believe me that I’m not a unicorn. I can’t tell you much about my job, other than it involves spending long hours in front of the computer, looking up obscure things in obscure books, puzzling about conundrums that would make your eyes glaze over, and drinking a lot of diet Pepsi.
I am also a freelance writer and blogger at Blue collar / Red lipstick.
