TimelessFinance First Anniversary Giveaway*
TimelessFinance published its first post one year ago today. It’s been an awesome 366 days and I’d like to thank this humble blog’s loyal Dear Readers. (AND BLOGGERS — CHECK OUT THE EXTRA CONTEST BELOW THIS ONE!)
As a more tangible, less sappy thank-you for a great year, we’re going to have a giveaway! There are three prizes:
1st prize – $250 through PayPal
2nd prize – TurboTax (one 2013 Canadian online license) and The Beginner’s Guide to Saving and Investing for Canadians
3rd prize – TurboTax (one 2013 Canadian online license)
See what I did there? I managed to rustle up awesome prizes from previous giveaways. Plus I’m dropping $250. Thanks very much to:
- Intuit for contributing the copies of TurboTax. I reviewed TurboTax 2012 last year. I look forward to reviewing the 2013 edition (my post ideas have just gotten really backlogged). I can already say, after having poked around the latest interface, it appears to still be the Cadillac of online tax prep software. (Note that the free online license isn’t limited to just the “Standard” version so it’s a pretty darn valuable prize.)
- Glenn Cooke for contributing The Beginner’s Guide to Saving and Investing which I reviewed here last September. It’s an awesome guide for personal finance newbies and I encourage you to pick up a copy — particularly if you know anybody in their teens or 20s who could really use some straight dope.
If anybody else has a sick prize they’d like to add to the pot, let me know. I can list it here and draw one or more extra winners.
Entry into the contest is super easy, just use this RaffleCopter widget. It ends in less than two weeks so enter ASAP.
Promotional Giveaway for Bloggers**
To help spread the word about the main giveaway, TF is also running a separate mini-giveaway for bloggers. The prize is $50 paid through PayPal. Added: I’m going to draw a second winner and Glenn Cooke from LifeInsuranceCanada is going to send this second winner $100! (Thanks for this awesome additional prize, Glenn!) It’s also super easy to enter:
- Share a no-follow link to this contest page in a blog post on your site; and
- Give me the URL of your post in a comment on this post.
So, again, two prizes for this: one is $50, the other is $100.

Congrats on a year of great writing and turning sacred cows into tasty burgers! You can now claim a year-on-year growth rate of infinity%.
LOL “turning sacred cows into tasty burgers” oh man, that’s gotta be my new slogan. Thanks for joining us on the trip VI!
Congratulations on your one year anniversary, Joe! It’s a great accomplishment, considering most bloggers don’t make it past the 6 month mark.
Thanks Robb! And thanks for your support along the way, it’s definitely been great to get to know you.
One year? Congrats – I think that’s like 12 in blog years! Glad to see you continuing, and glad to have found you last year.
Thanks PK! When I saw your guys’ site on CYC I was just like “now here’s a site where I can head nod” lol. I’ve been very surprised by how many flash-in-the-pan (or sometimes no flash at all) perfi sites there are. I think the key demotivator would be trying to make money — if I had expected TF to make significant money from the get-go, I would have been disappointed for a long time lol
Congratulations mate on a successful year of blogging! Here’s to another year of success for you! Cheers… Here is the post >> http://canadianbudgetbinder.com/2013/02/01/mr-cbbs-personal-finance-reading-list-5-hello-blackberry-z10-and-show-me-the-money-ticketmaster/
Thanks for entering Mr. CBB. Good luck!
One year is quite the accomplishment. Nice work. I hope your giveaway goes well and enjoy your weekend.

Pauline

Congratulations on one year!!!! That’s a fabulous milestone!!!! I really do enjoy reading your posts!!!!!
Aw thanks Sass
make sure to enter the secondary giveaway. And I look forward to seeing the south and having real grits sometime!
A year is a very long long time. I aspire to have ads and professional looking blog some time in my future and I look to more seasoned veterans (you are one now) for advice.
I will keep reading.
If I am a seasoned veteran I fear for the general repute of blogging. Well, I guess it’s not in high repute anyway lol. But thanks.
Easy entry, just like my friend’s mom (she works at the bar, never charges me cover). Congratulations on the anniversary. Seems like everything is going really well. Great content. Sometimes I’m really enjoying a post, and it’s taking a long time to read, and I just imagine how much work it took to write. Impressive.
lol thanks Gene. It means a lot to get that sort of feedback because it certainly does take a lot of work. Glad to hear we’re entertaining even to folks with a more sophisticated knowledge of PerFi.
